This style is a traditional wedding or anniversary present. Originally these clocks were to be wound once a year on the couple's anniversary. Today quartz technology allows the clock to run on a battery instead of a winding mechanism. The pendulum rotates back and forth in a gentle motion.

This is a charming and traditional piece at a great low price. The base is brass and the dome is crystal glass.
